Nature Nooks: Morro Bay

Most days the beach is blanketed in fog in Morro Bay. It’s this gloomy atmosphere that keeps the crowds down and the beach calm. For others like experienced surfer Dane Howell, the Lichtig-Groom family, and photographer Amy Horn, this is just another part of Morro Bay’s charm.

By age five she was knitting. Now, at age 14, she is crafting with a laser cutter. For Los Osos student and crafter Zoë Hendricks, creativity comes quite naturally. Hendricks maintains straight A’s in all of her classes, while also taking on the pseudonym @lasercraft_lososos on Instagram.
